“But who would buy a holodeck for their cat?” I wondered. “They’re not even available for humans yet.”
“I guess some people just have more money than they know what to do with,” my brother said. “I have to admit, it does look like something cats would enjoy, and at least it’s safe and sanitary.”
“And it would probably end all that annoying scratching at windowscreens.”
“Yeah. I really hate that kind of thing.”
“Kittykittykittykittykittykitty!”
We perked up as our pet human called us. “Maybe we could convince her to get us one,” I suggested.
“Yeah. We just have to figure out how to talk human first.”
“Damn. Well, so much for that idea.”
