Scared, I saw that The Feared One had indeed detected us.But I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how. Then it dawned on me. I remembered this passage as clearly as if it were written in the sky.

‘The Feared One is one to be reckoned with. Not only does he have superb sight, smell, and hearing, he has one extra sense: he can smell fear.’

I looked over at Sao, and she seemed to understand as well. The Feared One started walking our way. Nervous, we were getting ready to run. But just as we were about to take off, The Feared One stopped us.

“Imbeciles, do not be afraid. I do not come to harm you, or to steal your young flock. If you could call it that,” he scoffed.

“Then what do you want?” I asked in an attempt to sound confident, but only sounding like a mouse.

“I would like to strike you a deal.”

    Great twist. Sorry I’ve been a bit absent. I took a stab at a sequel and my interpretation of ‘The Feared One’. Hope it’s not disastrously divergent from your view/vision.
