Excited now, I frantically put the key into the lock. A small gasp escaped me as I realized that it fit. After a faint click, I quickly opened the door.
What I saw took my breath (and my lunch) away. It was a small room, Probably only six by six foot. But that’s not what horrified me. The room was full of stuffed animals. Not like the cuddly kind, but…oh what’s that word.. oh yeah, taxodermy. Creeped out, I turned to open the door and get out of here. But to my dismay, I realized that the door only opens one way… from the outside.
Nervously, I began to see that most of them were bunnies and deer. But then I saw one that broke the pattern – it was a squirrel.
I curiously (and disgustedly) picked it up. I don’t know why but it seemed logical at the time. And right as I lifted from the floor, a part of the wall lifted back, only to reveal a staircase.
