In a Hidden Hand

Her eyes cut across the forest with unbelievable swiftness. With understandable trepidation, she stepped out of the shade of the trees.
There he was, alone.
You don’t trust us… his voice was thin but accusing.
I trust who I know is trustworthy. Somehow, her words sounded more sharp than intended. Arm in arm they walked away, with a knife in a hidden hand.

    Well that was mysterious and sounded a little metaphorical maybe. I get the whole trusting but not trusting and having things come out in not quite the right way.
