Adam reread the paper several times. He had figured she was 18, still five years younger than him, but completely do-able. Literally. But now, she could be 17. She could be 16. She could be 15.
“What’s so interesting about my papers?” she asked, looking up at him as she picked up the papers she had left on the floor and the one in his hands. He hadn’t even heard her come back into the elevator, but now that she was, smiling and looking into his eyes, he couldn’t care less if she was 13.
“You’re just Little Miss Brain aren’t you?” he asked, pointing to the paper in her hand. She rolled her eyes and followed the other students out of the elevator and towards the lab, leaving him behind.
