Hello again!
It feels marvelous to be back in the big, comfy, cushiony, community of the bright and brief!
Getting back into the ficlet flow has been rough. So I’m hereby recruiting YOU to help me knock off the creativity cob-webs, post haste!
That’s right ladles and yentle soup spoons— CHALLENGE .
THE RULES :
Have you ever wondered who is behind their pen name, their icon, and their ficlets? Is there a particular writer here on ficlets that you suspect is a novelist? A neighbor? Famous?Someone you can picture clearly somehow? A house plant, maybe? Write a ficlet describing that person (or thing) going about their day. The title of your story must be their pen name. Entries that demean or ridicule will be disqualified. If you are attempting something risky, or humorous (which is what I’m hoping for) send a note to that person first, so that there are no hard feelings. Try for most outlandish, or most accurate, or both. The best and most creative stories will be recognized on MAY 5th.

    Have to say this was way harder than I thought it would be. I couldn’t think of who to choose. I finally picked and probably picked an easy ficleteer to write about. Ah well. Was a good brain exerciser Tad. Thanks!

    I have no idea why I’ve done what I’ve done, but I’ve entered the challenge. I can either hope that Melia doesn’t read it or is very forgiving. Honestly, I don’t know why I put him where I did, other than it seemed really funny at the time. Go on about your awesomeness.

    I must agree with Saint Chuck – part of me is secretly hoping someone will write about me, just to see if they get it right or to see how far they’ll take it, but part of me is scared, too! ;)

    WOAH . I’m honored by the entries and comments. Nearly brings a tear to mine eye… ahem, not really, but it makes my heart sing for sure. I promise to do a thorough job of judging all of these entries and I’m pondering an epic ficlet that includes all of the people here in a rambunctious Apartment complex… maybe it could be a series that belongs to all that entered or was written of in this challenge.     How about… instead of an apartment complex the series could be set up like a reality tv show. All of the ficlet authors live together before the cameras on national tv—in a mansion somewhere sweet. The series could belong to everyone on ficlets. I’m sure chaos and hilarity would ensue. Sound cooler? I might just make this thing happen.
