Differences

by More Ways Than One

Differences in people. Differences can make you, but they can also break you. Make you feel like nothing.

Why? You ask, that’s what makes us unique.

Well, how about when you call a kid fat, crazy, stupid, and ugly? Here’s another question. Did they have power over what they look like? No. So what gives you the right to ridicule them?

And you, the one that watches as all this hate take place. What are you going to do? Help them, that’s what you know is right in your heart. But your mind is telling you, “Stay away, you don’t want to be treated like that.” So you listen to the one that seems easier, safer. When all you have to do is say, “It’s okay.”

So what are you going to do? Let the differences of one and other demolish each other? Or rebuild what was broken?

I love diversity. It is sad when we see intoleracne and bigotry and bullying and we stand and watch and do nothing or worse laugh.. because it isn’t us. You touche don a hot topic and wrote your thought very well.
Thank you for making us think.
