Of Courage and Umbrellas

I carry along an umbrella everywhere I go. Not because I’m hoping, or apprehending rain, but because I feel naked without it.

Sometimes people tell me it’s OCD . Others say it’s ridiculous to carry it around.

But I tell people it’s like courage. You may not be hoping for a chance to show your courage, and you may not think you’ll need it…

But it’s always a good thing to have around.

    Cute take on both the picture and an individual quirk. Kind of makes me think of, in general, the things and ideas we come up with to explain or rationalize our own behavior. Personally, I think a nice umbrella can look quite dapper. It always worked for John Steed.

    Just think what the ladies have in their GIANT purses. Can’t leave home without, what exactly? :)
