It’s 4 A.M. and she is still up on her laptop writing long emails to her friend in another city. A friend she just talked to online and on the phone four hours prior. They argued about the Flintstones being a better cartoon that Family Guy.

Written six more ficlets in just twenty minutes. A new personal record. Continues a new series. Not a romance.

She ignores the bags under her eyes. She has to be in work in three hours. She gets another friend, (one who has no problem telling a fib) to call her out sick from work.
She stubs her toe and curses softly so as to not wake her roommate.

She puts on her favorite CD, Evanesence. While she downloads every song ever sung by Chris Cornell.

She hasn’t eaten anything and her stomach growls. She ignore it. She is trying to finish her new series before the sun comes up.

She thinks of something she forgot to tell her out of town friend. She composes another lengthly email. Her fifth so far to him.

    I sense some truth perhaps mingling with the fiction in this one. I’m positive the under eye baggage is more to the consequence of staying up late and not so much one’s age giving in to gravity. And if she is your sister then it’s totally cool to rip on eachother from time to time, that’s what siblings do. Thanks for entering Kermitgorf, always a pleasure. Fam Guy is totally superior btw.

    Considering the Flintstones was a cartoon rip off of The Honeymooners…but then again, Family Guy is just a bawdy rip off of the Simpsons format…but I digress. Turnabout is fair play, I suppose. Fun stuff, though the back and forth between the two of you is nearly as amusing as the ficlets themselves.

    Omg I don’t think ive laughed this hard at a ficlet in a long time.. how cute yall think were related.. I do not recall having the flinstones vs family guy discussion.. must of been one of your dreams. Right on with Evanesence and Chris Cornell.. Amy and Chris should do a Duet.. that would rock!
