Staring blankly up to the ceiling, the whole idea of this occasional act which happened everyday, was to come up with a new story.

She drank her Hansen’s and got frustrated with the fact that nothing sounded good enough. The keyboard sang different notes, but then buzzed them away with the delete button.

She had had enough and thought, Why don’t I just read someone else’s idea? And that is what she did. Walked straight up to her big wall book case and chose her favorite author Sarah Dessen and popped open Keeping the Moon.

Hours later, back at the bright screen, she knew it. It came out of nowhere.

The keyboard didn’t stop singing…

    Okay, such an unfair advantage that you two obviously know one another. But I really liked the imagery of the keyboard singing different notes…gives writing a more lyrical, magical feel to it.

    I too really liked singing as a way to describe non stop clicking—to a writer that’s music to their ears. Wonderful last line. Thanks for the story.
