In a couple of hours, Autumn was back at my place, she looked like she’d been crying.

“Hey, where’s Kait?” I asked.

“They had to take her to a foster home.” Autumn choked.

I raised my eyebrows.

I put an arm around her shoulders, trying to empathize.

The only reason I care about this is because Autumn is sad about it. I don’t really know Kait. Also, considering she tried to sabotage the relationship Autumn and I have not even a day ago, I don’t really care for her anyway.

I felt for Autumn, I couldn’t imagine if I lost someone significant in my life.

Thats why I never let someone get too close. Well, except for Autumn.
