You Will Live

by Laine P. Grey

When angels fall to earth, no one notices. Not that people notice much, anyway.

She simply rose out of the mud and frowned at the world. They needed an angel at that camp. Death was there already.

There is no place for you here. He’d hissed at her.
There will always be a place for me. And sadly, for you also. Her smile was not one of humor. She bent over and picked up the child who had fallen.

She pulled him away from the gas ovens. Despite Death’s protests, she picked up the fallen heroes. Pulled then away from the gas ovens.

You will live. Please, you will live. Her whispers were soft in their ears.

Wow. I really liked this. I think reading angelical stories are fun.

That was very sweet, a near-tragedy told from a different perspective.

Very, very cool point of view, with the transition from metaphor-like to real. Fantastic idea. I like the “conversation” too.
