Muddled Outrage

We’re finding out what gets played at their funerals
It turns out they quite liked the Beatles
But Ringo and Paul are still getting older
And those soldiers aren’t aging a day

We’re finding out they don’t have the best armour
While it’s not painted as much of a drama
I can’t help think It might be a factor
In all the white sand turning into red clay

We’re finding out that our leaders told lies
It’s not a movie, we might not be the good guys
Just another remake of a favoured invasion
Using military might to get our own way

We’re finding out that this war’s never ending
And it seems we’re finally comprehending
The intangible spin and propaganda
That our trusted leaders actually say

Cos I’m against the troops, against the war
Against the rich, against the poor
Against the left, against the right
Against the dark, against the light
