Bump. Gasp. Clatter.

Viktor stared at the red-haired girl who now scrambled to pick up her things. The clumsy mortal had smashed into him in her haste to get to class. He dipped next to her, helping to scoop up her books. Her blue eyes stared up a him, fear evident in their depth.

He grinned and she ducked her head once more, muttering apologies. The part of him that was evil, that part of him that longed to taste the succulence of her blood, smirked. He relished the fear in her eyes; it made him want her. Plus she smelled so… divine.

“No need for apologies…” Viktor crooned. “It was entirely my fault. I’m Viktor, may I ask where you’re headed with so many things?”

An attractive blush fell over her porcelain features, accentuating the sprinkling of freckles across her nose. She mumbled that her name was Charlotte and that she was headed to the library.

“Allow me to assist you…” Against her feeble protests, he scooped the remaining books from her arms.

He wanted her…bad.
