Me: I like the moment.

Mike dipped me down and kissed me again slowly.

Me: You aren’t gonna get all crazy tonight, right?
Mike: Course not. Unless you want me to.
Me: It’ll depend. But for now, let’s just get everything set back up. That storm really hit us hard and the plane! Oh my god!

Mike turned to where I was staring and his mouth dropped open. The plane appeared to have moved several feet to get all the way to our side of the sand. I could feel him shaking already.

Me: Whoa, Mike. Sit down.

He plopped into the sand, his face contorted.

Me: Mike?
Mike: No. It’s fine. We just have to move it. Somehow. I can not be haunted like that.

He shuddered and I bent down to him.

Mike: Demi, we need to move that…that thing now.
Me: Okay, but we only have each other.
Mike: And that’s the thought keeping me alive.
Me: Mike you didn’t try to…
Mike: It was just a test, see if I was strong enough to kill…
Me: Were you?
Mike: Not even close.
Me: Good.
But not reassuring.
