    Pretty twisted funny take on the ‘trick’ aspect of trick or treat. One typo, though. I think you meant hanging temptingly over the bubbling cauldron in the back. As opposed to handing.

    Sorry for the confusion. I plead “first try.” :) When I saw the picture, it looked like tiny heads to me. The combination of the colors suggested Halloween. I decided to write about someone who makes candy by decapitating trick or treaters who are too old to be trick or treating. Given how short Ficlets are, I deliberately chose to omit any description or discussion of how they were decapitated, but I encourage anyone to come up with something and add it on. Thanks for all the comments!
