In A World Without

by One Time, One Chance

We all knew it was coming.
All of us were fully aware it was going to happen.
But didn’t know when.. or why.. or how.
But all good things will come to an end.

No, I’m not talking about 9/11, though adolescents across america may argue that this happening was much worse.

May 4th, 2008.
5:48 PM.

Dates were lost.
Stock transactions were canceled.
News came to a standstill.
Buisnesses lost buisness.

Many became frantic, blaming their service provider for the problem. Thousands threw theirs across the room, where they shattered into pieces, causing millions of dollars to be wasted.

Verizon, AT&T, Cingular, Motorola, Virgin Mobile, Sprint, Nextel, Alltel, Vonage, and all other cell phone services are handling this impact rather hectically. None of them were the cause, but all were the victims.

How will we survive?
Or will we?
Will anything survive?
Buisnesses?
Relationships?

You know, for the longest time I avoided getting a cell, because I just didn’t want to be that reachable. Now, like a lot of other people, it’s practically my primary means of communication.
