Venting [Realization Challenge]

I sat at my desk, twiddling my fingers. I had been working for the past hour or so, and I thought that I’d take a break.

But no, here I was, still twiddling my fingers like a complete idiot, devoid of any ideas as to what to do.

I got up, tried to play some guitar, then went down to fiddle with the piano. Nope, still bored. What next? I sat down again, thinking about what could possibly be missing.

Then, my brain had a time snap. Of course! That’s what was missing.

I rushed to the kitchen, having inspiration strike me along the way. Now I knew what was missing.

A few minutes later, I placed myself down at my desk, accompanied by a plate of two slices of tsoureki (Greek sweet bread) laden with jam; down I plop into the chair, and I log onto Ficlets. Time for some character bashing! I chuckle evilly to myself.

Then, suddenly, I have a realization:

Where would I vent if I didn’t have Ficlets?

    I can really relate to this piece. I’ve had that realization before too! (Though not with the yummy Greek bread…)

    Yes, a realization I’ve felt before too. I’ve certainly vented through ficlets at one time or another (my recurring character Edmund is a fine example of that). Great work, as usual!

    indeed, where would we vent with support (sometimes) from others who are sympathetic, (mostly) :)
