Star Wars: The Return of the Leia

Princess Leia and her entourage finally reached the war zone. Once again, Leia cringed. “Han Solo! Luke Skywalker!” she yelled like a frustrated mother. “Come here right this instant!”

“Kind of in the middle of a firefight, hon!” Han said fending off a crawling mutant. “Be right there!”

Luke ran to his sister like an excited poodle. “Did you hear what happened, Leia? We won!”

“No thanks to you, from what I’ve heard. What were you thinking?”

“The dark side is powerful, sis. But you know what they say? All you need is love. This is Buffy. We’re getting married!”

The women shared an awkward moment, but it wasn’t nearly as awkward as what happened next.

Han Solo approached Leia and experienced a jolt. She was holding hands with a man who looked just like him.

“Hey, I’m Indiana Jones. I’ve heard so much about you.”

Ignoring him, Han asked her other companion, “And who the hell are you?”

“I’m Jerry Springer. Welcome to my show. The theme this week is ‘My mate is in love with my doppelgänger’.”

    Nice job combining the elements of a previous ficlet (by Mycroft, I think?) and also bringing Indy into the fray.

    Oh, I meant the whole doppelgänger thing! How Mycroft wrote an entry for the deja vu challenge… Sorry, my comment wasn’t clear and I’m probably muddling it up further now. (My brain is all fuzzy from grading AP essays!)

    Yes. That crept into my consciousness, for sure, and I loved Mycroft’s ficlet in that challenge. (I hate to admit that I was really motivated by a comment earlier in the series, by someone else. I cant’ remember if it was Ridcully Calvert or Capital ‘W”).
