Macy 68: What Does That Mean?

“Macon I don’t know what you want from me, but you’ve already messed up everything so take it.” Macy sighed as she walked back toward them.

“What are you talking about Macy?” Macon asked innocently.

“You know damn well what I’m talking about! I’m talking about you and…Shane…torturing…me. And then now you coming back and saying you love me! I can’t believe anything you say!” Macy yelled.

Derrick interrupted quietly, “Macy, who do you love?” He was looking at his shoes as she glanced at him. Derrick finally felt her eyes on him and he gazed at her face.

“Well?” Macon asked. He walked over to stand in Derrick’s way. He grabbed her face, holding her chin gently between his big hands. “Who?” And then, he kissed her.

At first Macy pulled back, afraid about Derrick, but soon after she gave in. Macon’s lips were soft and enjoyable and she liked them. She opened her eyes as he kissed her and Macon was everywhere. In every place, she saw him. And not Derrick.
But what does that mean about love?

    Macy is one screwed up and conflicted person. I don’t think she really loves derrick, but i dont think she can love macon or shane either. so… yah confusing.
    but great series!! can’t wait to read more!!

    wytherwings, you are on the right path. You totally got that I was…sorta…trying to confuse everyone. My understanding of love is that its…strange. And unexpected. And challenging. But it rewards you in the end with what you really want. Now all I have to figure out is what or who Macy really wants.

    I’m so happy so many people love this series. I really don’t want it to end so I’ll be dragging it out for as long as possible. Enjoy.
