Papers and Scenes

She stands up and walks in. What will she tell them? Everything? Or very little and let them fill in the pieces? She didn’t know either. All she knows is that she has to save herself.

“May I help you?” The receptionist asks. She looks at the girl and gasps to see the girl’s black eye.
“Yes, I need help.” She says hoping the receptionist will understand what she is trying to tell her.
“Ok, just sit down and fill out these papers to be admitted.”

She sits down and starts writing using a painfully burned hand.

Age: 16
Gender: Female
Address: 3245 Kinder Drive
Parent present: No
Pregnant: Don’t know.

She fills the rest and leaves some blank. She hands it to the receptionist.

“Ok this will take a second so just take a seat again and patiently wait.”

She sits down and puts her head in her hands. Closing her eyes, scenes play in her mind like a movie. A movie about a girl that was abused by parents that were supposed to love her.

    what a terrible movie, and sadly one that plays out all over the world every day. Abuse is universal, I think you can reach a lot of people with that theme. Good melancholy descriptions.
