The taste of her cherry chapstick.

This was never the way I planned,

I stumbled around.. my room? I looked down, and I’m still in my tight, uncomfortable clothes from yesterday.

Yesterday.

I flung myself, since I was clearly inable to walk correctly, into the desk where the phone was, and dialed Ben’s number.

“Hi, this is Ben, please leave a message after the beep.” his answering machine spoke to me.

“Benniferr, soooggwadd yerr home, I-” my words were slurring. I placed my hands into the pocket of my jeans.

A piece of paper. It said Katie♥, and then had 10 numbers on it.. a math problem?

“Whoos Katie? Issshe yer gerlfrendd-” The message machine cut me off.

    Based on the title I was expecting The Beatles song “Yesterday.”

    I have not heard this particular song before, but it seems quite similar to Jill Sobule’s song of the same name.

    In any case, I did enjoy the story. It was a very good sequel to the song. That second to last paragraph is a little clunky though. Something about “It said Katie♥, and then had some phone number on it,” interrupts the flow.
