Brian is Gwen’s best friend. He has been there for her through all the tough times. Sure they would argue and dispute. Sometimes their age difference would show.
Brian claims that Gwen has been an influence to his personal growth and changes, during a traumatic time.

Gwen humbly accepts the sentiment. However, she feels that he has performed some miracles of his own. You see, she was hurt and angry, before they met. She kept this pain all bottled up. Assumed that nobody cared to hear her troubles. Until Brian came along. He was patient and kind, and a fantastic listener.

For Gwen, Brian showed her how to love again, and to be able to trust. Through his gentle example, he showed her that she was still worthy of being loved. He would comfort her doubts she had about her ex. He always supported her, and the feelings she grappled with.
Brian gives Gwen credit for all she’s done, but he doesn’t realize all he has done for her. He will never know ho much he helped her.
