Macy 74: Run From

“It’s okay.” Macy whispered.

“Sorry.” He repeated.

“Shane,” she winced again, “its fine.”

Shane backed away, staring at this amazing girl that he’d hurt for almost two years. There was so much agony for her pain. “So Derrick. You love him, but you don’t think you deserve him? Huh?”

“You don’t know the details.”

“Tell me.”

“No.” She started to step around him, but he gently grabbed her arm. And then she remembered steel hands. From before. Iron closing around her wrists and her throat, blocking breath and sound. And this was the same hand. One of the hands. She remembered his hands. How he wanted one hand, a free hand so that he could—“Stop! Stop! Just stop it!” Macy yelled suddenly, pushing Shane away.

“What’s wrong?”

Macy moved away, sobs escaping her. She slid down to the floor but it was too late. A memory was flooding back, capturing every part of her. It was destroying her even worst than an internal conflict. But still all the same.

This was something she couldn’t run from.

    Blu, how is she going to trust someone like him? There might be other hopes though. Think about it.

    I don’t know if it’s right not to like Macy but I kinda don’t
    and i agree with Blu, she has to at least trust him enough to let him help her.
