Ernest knows his life has changed for the better, no more rooftops for him. A simple kiss has opened his world to so much happiness. “Is this a dream, will awake from it? He thinks. “Finally someone has shown me much needed affection.” He begins to wonder what hs next steps are.
Do I call her tomorrow? I’ll see her at work i guess I don’t need to call her. What will work be like? Will her feelings change once the lights are on? She wasn’t drinking so she can’t use that as an excuse. Does she give out kisses to everyone, is her mother or father french? Maybe that’s just how she is. Was she looking for more? Maybe I should of kissed her back, on the lips. I don’t want to ruin anything, the relationship is a new born like all new borns it’s fragile, and needs time to grow. I am a wuss? I should of asked her to stay, told her I didn’t want her to go. What if she said “Yes”? What if she said “no”? If I holdout long enough she’ll make the move, or will she?
