“H-how can you know that.” I stuttered.
“Our abilities for telepathy are not our only difference. We can tell the history of all things from sub-conscious communication. I know all about your wars, your povertys, your relative adolence as a race.”
It was then that I realised that his mouth didn’t move as he spoke.
“That is our telepathy, we don’t make any sounds with our mouths, indeed, we have evolved to a point where our vocal cords are as your appendix is, redundant.” He said, well he didn’t say but
“Your confusion will lessen with time.”
“Time? What do you mean, I only have a have a two week window. My government has sent me here on a mission to see if this planet can sustain life, the trip back will take 9 days to complete.” I said starting to regain my composure.
“Then I’m afraid you’ll be missing your window, Neil.”
