The Muties

The muties walked along-side the road and I walked wit them. I was one of the select few they would allow to walk wit them in peace. The muties had a bad reputation jus’ ‘cause they eat people they don’t like.

Ah don’t care. If I could eat people ah didn’t like I would. But ah can’t. That’s part’a why I like to hang around wit tha muties. People think ah’m normal when ah’m wit the muties too.

All and all, the muties ain’t bad people. They’re better friends and better company than some ah’ve known.

    Interesting; makes me want to hear more about these muties.

    The accent thing didn’t work for me though; I always do a double-take when I see people thinking (rather than talking) with an accent. I don’t think people would notice their own accent much, when thinking to themselves or even listening to themselves talk. I think the general advice is to keep the main characters of a story without accents, and just accent foreigners they meet.
