I will never forget being ten years old. One day in the fall, I was at the dentist’s office, waiting for my appointment. I remember looking through a magazine. The image will forever be etched in my mind.
I observed the cover, and it was a tribute. To all the fallen men and women who served our country, during the Gulf War. My ten year old mind, struggled to comprehend the magnitude of the Gulf War, and our involvment in it. It was staggering to me, to see all these people who died. It saddened me to know, that all these people were gone. I thought of thier families and friends, who will never see them again.
I can still remember the nightly news coverage of this war. And it scared me. But to see the names and faces of all the people who willingly faught the war, and died. It hit home.
