Ethan mastered his powers quickly. Josh enjoyed playing with fire, so he was a bit slow. Nichole was busy exercising self-control after she mastered hers because she wanted to impale Josh with an ice shard. Alex… was Alex. She was just doing what the smarter one was doing. She copied Ethan exactly, and therein mastered hers quickly as well.

Nichole hummed, idly freezing things. Ethan turned lightbulbs on and off with his. Josh created a bonfire which then captured Nichole’s attention. Alex zapped herself once in a while.

It was… normal. Whatever “normal” is.
