Macy 81: The Clash

“Man, you’re weak. I knew you wouldn’t do it at all.” Macon spit at Shane. But Shane was contorted in some kind of inner pain.

“What the hell?! You think I’m not man enough or something?! Don’t you remember those other years?!” Shane yelled back.

Macy flinched; she did not want to be in the middle of a guy best friend fight. And she also didn’t want to know what “it” was. She probably was going to in the end though. “Guys! Guys! Stop it!”

Macon threw her to the ground and got closer to Shane. “That’s exactly what I’m saying! Ever since that night, you’ve been different! And today was your chance to prove that you’re still Shane! I knew you wouldn’t do it and I doubt you ever will again!â€? Macon’s eyes were wide and filled with hatred.

Shane glared back. “You bet I wouldn’t do it now?! Watch me!â€? He grabbed Macy and jerked her into the car, locking the doors.

“Shane, don’t.” Macy whimpered, looking at him in an unsettling way. He avoided her eyes.

And then that night replayed in everyone’s head.
