Blue like the sky
On a bright summer’s day.
When your heart starts to flutter,
And your cares fade away.

Blue like calm waters,
Still in the night.
Your whisper is soft,
Under pale moon light.

Blue like your eyes,
Piercing my soul.
They leave in my heart,
The deepest of holes.

Beautiful eyes,
They take my sleep.
Windows to your soul,
So pure and so deep.

Blue like my heart,
Alone without you,
My never ending love,
Its real and its true

Give me one chance
To make this right.
I’m willing to work,
And ready to fight.

Blue like my soul.
I’m sitting alone.
For you have my heart,
And now, your gone.

    This poem is better structurally than a lot of the ones I’ve seen on Ficlets. It’s still a little rough in parts in terms of rhythm. If you’re really interested and want to work on improving the flow of this, I suggest reading up on the various types of poetic meter: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meter_(poetry)

    It has some rough parts, but other than that, it’s a good poem. I only wrote 2 poems the whole time I’ve been on ficlets, so I wouldn’t really know anything. lol.
