i cry every night before i sleep
hoping tomorrow will bring great light
into the darkness of my eyes.
my eyes are swollen
i cannot see
i pray to the Lord to please help me
to take away all the sorrow and dismay
to bring great joy into my day
i look up into the sky
while i keep asking myself why?
as i wipe these tears from my eyes
i think of all the things i despise
i hope there will be a better tomorrow
As it washes away all these tears and sorrow.
