I may not “know” you, but I feel like you’ve revealed part of yourself in your ficlets and in your blogs. I’ve really enjoyed your blogs because they were so very inspirational. I remember once I was having a catastrophically bad day, and you posted this blog with a clip from a video showing pictures of many different couples, all showing how love is color-blind, sex-indifferent, and age-less, and it just brightened up my day completely.

Thank you for that and for creating this wonderful, wonderful site. I found out about Ficlets from one of my students last year and I’ve been grateful ever since. Since then, I’ve met a lot of great people in this community, some of whom I’ve come to know and call friends, and not one day passes by, I promise you, that I don’t stop for at least 5 minutes to check my page.

I am sad that you are stepping down, but hopeful that whoever replaces you will do at least half as good a job as you have. Thank you for everything. Thank you for Ficlets.
