There weren’t any other attempts on the challenge for the rest of the week, but the following monday, Ryan approached Dr. Timm at the end of class.

“I think I have it this time, Dr. Timm.”

His teacher arched an eyebrow. “Oh? I’d like to hear what you’ve got?”

“Is it… three?” Ryan asked with no trace of confidence at all. He felt himself shrinking as Dr. Timm scrutinized him for what seemed like an eternity.

“Close,” the teacher said finally. “You’re right on top of it, Ryan. You just need to put it all in the proper perspective.”
