I got a phonecall late that night while enjoying some pizza and playing my heart out on Guitar Hero.
I paused the game and picked up the phone with a mouthful of pizza.
“hewwow?”
“Hey man, it’s Eric.”
“Ewic? Oh, hey!” i swallowed my pizza “What’s up?”
He hesitated for a moment, which made me frown in anxious anticipation.
“Er… you’re gonna hate me, but… Rachel wanted me to tell you that she thinks you guys should… break up…”
My eyes widened, and I nearly laughed.
“Why didn’t she talk to me herself?”
“She didn’t want you to get hurt…”
WHAT ?! It still hurts either way, so what does it matter?!?!
I wasn’t very surprised, for I can usually feel the inevitability of a break up when it’s about to come. But not telling me herself??? That took me off gaurd… Rachel wasn’t a shy one, and she was alot like me.
“Did she say why?”
“Eh, she said you would know…”
Ok, now I was lost…
“So… I think you should talk to her now about this…”
“Alright, cya.” I said, and hung up.
