“I knew it!” said Maria.
“You knew what?” I asked. Maria was my best friend. Oh, I forgot. Let me introduce myself. I’m Jacqueline. Twelve years old, seventh grade, typical tween, not so normal, lot of friends, boy crazy, good grades, three siblings that drive me CRAZY ! Yeah, that’s me. Sounds like the girl you wanna be, huh? Nah, not so much
“I knew you liked him!” said Maria.
“Who?”
“Jake! Of course!” Oh crap. How did she find out. It was just last night that I realized I liked him.
“Shut up!” I yelped. I didn’t want the whole world to know!
“So I’m right! Again!”
“Yeah but keep quiet. The whole school doesn’t need to find out,”. I felt good to know I could tell someone. Especially my best friend.
“Don’t be silly! I like him too! Look at his eyes. I’m a sucker for guys with blue eyes. Beautiful, huh?”
“Yeah, totally!” I felt good to have someone to relate to, also. We liked the same guy. No biggy. Yeah, it wasn’t a biggy then. What about tomorrow?!?

    Yeah best friends liking same guy can become a GIANT biggy. I’d like to see where this goes.
