    i was going to say you broke the iambic pentameter and then my wife and i argued about it and i think that she was right it is can still be interpretted as iambic soo good job

    You are right. I did break the iambic tetrameter (not pentameter) The second line is nine syllables long and doesn’t start iambic, so I inserted a “the” to make the ending iambic.

    Dunno about all the techincal stuff, but I like the poem. It reads like the head of a tombstone.

    ..that was meant as a compliment..
