“I have an idea!” said Joe. We were laying in the snow. Nick was….busy? Somewhere I had no clue where, but he was…somewhere?
“What?” I asked.
“We’ll go to the mall and I’ll help you buy something for Nick!”
“I have no clue what he wants, Joe! Do you?”
“No, but let’s go!” Joe never had a reason for things. Does everything really happen for a reason?
When we got to the mall, I realized again that we were going to get trampled by fans.
“Joe? Remember? Fans!”
“Oh, yeah,” he said scratching his head.
“Sunglasses!” I blurted. Brain storm!
“Oh, yeah,” said Joe again. We put on the sunglasses and got out of the car. I looked around. Oh my gosh. How come I always ran into people I knew at the same place, with the same person. Joe. My bad luck charm. No, not really. I loved him like a brother. A Jonas brother? No, like a brother.
“Joe!” I gasped.
“What?”
“Look!” I pointed across the parking lot to someone we both knew and loved.
“It can’t be!”
“It is!” It was Nick.
