I’m not acquainted with this series and I stumbled upon this fic because of its intriguing title, but I think you’ve caught enough of my curiosity here for me to go back and read it. Great writing here, particularly the dark and morbid imagery.

That opening paragraph is probably one of the best pieces of writing I’ve read on Ficlets to date. Unsurprising that you wrote it I suppose, but still, wicked awesome.
They should make a change to the code to allow for six stars on this single ficlet, so that I could give it the proper distinction of being in a class of its own. Truly superior.

I agree with what was said about the brilliance of the first paragraph, but I also loved the description of how cutoff and shutout Gordo feels without the direction of someone else.

This bit makes you almost sympathize with Gordo…
