Discoveries

- Renita-

I took off, still slightly limping and I ran deeper and deeper.

“Prophecies….Oh man, this is all a so confusing!” I mumbled quietly to myself. I now could smell what Carlene smelled and hurried even more. It was a long cave, getting darker by the second.

“How long does this go on?” I asked myself, turning back into a wolf and charging on. The ground tilted downward, and I went faster. There were cracks on the walls, big enogh to be a secret room, but I did not stop. I should have, but something kept making me go on. I could smell something, but faintly, that made me keep running until I would find it.

I jumped over a fallen rock, stirring a few bats from their spots, making them fly away in a frenzy. I stopped to watch them go back to where I came from. I breathed deeply before heading onwards. The ground was evening out now, and the floor itself was smoother. I slowed to a walk and finally stopped on a cliff.

I gasped. There was a lake, shimmering in the cave light. It was huge.

Neat scene, some classic fantasy type stuff. You made good use of the first person perspective as well.

Some good imagery here. (Though “enogh” needs a “u” in the middle.)
