It was Marie’s freshman year of high school and his sophomore year when they met at the bowling alley where he was on a league. She had come to watch her best friend bowl and he was on the team her friend was playing against. Then they ended up both bowling for school, where her team beat his and took first place. Marie and Matthew ended up having study hall together, where they became good friends.
