In that moment, Cole felt a disturbance of sorts. Something wasn’t just so with things. Closing his eyes, he felt around with his soul, if you could even call it a soul.

Aha! He found it: Gordo restlessly slinking towards the dock. Oh no, this will never do, Cole thought darkly. I have to remind him why he’s here. Otherwise I’ll have to… reprimand him.

He reached out, trying to touch that memory, subtully extract the file from the memory filing system. Reaching… reaching… trying to gently touch it… trying to brush it…

    I humbly felt like this was something that needed to be in this series… please forgive me if it’s unworthy of your (THX’s) calibre.

    Wouldn’t call it unworthy. Am I right in understanding this to suggest some sort of psychic bond between our two perpetrators? That would be an interesting avenue and would further explain Cole’s powers of persuation on both Gordo and the girls. Please, never hesitate to sequel my stuff! You actually did manage to fit the mood and feel, I thought.

    I also thought you kept with the feel of the series. The psychic link is an interesting twist.

    It’s more that Cole can do the mind stuff; the others just happen to be on the recieving end (unfortunately). But thank you for the kind words about fitting the tone of the series, I’m flattered.
