I Hate You And I'm Glad About It

“Jessica! How could you do this to me?” Stephen wailed.

Then the worst thing possible, I heard a car door. James walked around his truck, smirking. “Hey, calm down.”

Stephen just continued to glare at me. Then, I felt the need to say something. “Stephen, we…we weren’t dating.”

“Yes we were!” he yelled, but we both knew it wasn’t true. I had wanted to, but that was before James and the rush I felt around him. “This is not fair! I had you first!” Stephen continued.

It was my turn to glare. “I’m not property, Stephen! And because of that, I’ll never be yours!” So caught in the moment, I added, “I hate you!”

The silence that followed was unbearable and James decided to break it. “Well, I guess that settles it. I don’t like love triangle shit anyway. Bye, Jessica.” And he got into his truck and left the two of us standing there.

I didn’t wait for anything. I just charged into the house, ignoring Stephen. Who knew this would probably be the last time we ever talked. At the moment though, I was glad.

the moment will be short lived. Once the adrenaline rush subsides, your brain will be scrambling to adjust to reality. And you will wonder What happened. Possibly will wish that things took to a different outcome.
