The child, head ceremoniously shaven, took a deep, relaxing breath as millions of people waited impatiently for wisdom. The rumors started a little over five weeks ago when the story first broke. It seemed that for once The National Enquirer might have gotten something right.
Three weeks ago, the talking heads decided it was a hoax, but that was a week before the religious leaders of the world gathered to debate the significance of this special child.
The pope had the first word. “The Vatican is convinced this extraordinary child is indeed the second coming of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, which means the world is in for a significant paradigm shift, if we are correct.”
“Nonsense, the child is His Holiness the Dalai Lama.”
“He is our prophet Moses.”
“He is the second coming of the one true prophet, Mohammed.”
“The child is most assuredly Shiva.”
Just yesterday the child agreed to speak for the first time publicly. When Sophia simply said, “Shalom,” Pandora’s box opened for the second time.
