All the boys sat down and Massey and I took our seats in the back of the room. Maybe this would be interesting.
“Hey, do you think Jason looks cute in his uniform?” asked Massey. I gaged.
“Are you kidding?” I asked. Yeah, I knew him. But, cute?
“He’s looking at me!” Massey started to turn red. This was starting to scare me. Massey did not like boys. Only the cute ones from magazines but other than that, nope. Boys still had cooties in Massey land.
“Okay, let’s just watch,” I said. I concentrated on what was going on.
“Today,” said the pack leader, “We have a special guest from the local animal shelter,”. Everyone clapped as someone came in with cages. Poor animals.
Massey and I watched as the man took out birds and bunnies and all sorts of animals. I noticed that all the boys kept glancing back at us. Were we aliens or something?
“Okay tell me now, does he look cute in his uniform or not?” asked Massey. I glanced over at him and actually realized he was kind of cute in his uniform.
“Yeah, cute,”.

    I love that line too! Although, none of the girls my age think that way, we just think all of them are buttheads.
