We sat alone on the hilltop, overlooking the ocean and a glorious sunset. The west-coast had the best fiery sunsets.
Jason was intent on watching the rolling waves crash the shoreline, and I could not tear my eyes off of him.
He was ruggedly handsome; not so much the prince-charming type, but he was honest and funny. He had a gentle face, and eyes that turned me in to goo.
He wasn’t perfect; but he was mine.
He caught me staring at him,
“Are you ok, Emma?” he asked.
“Me?” I chuckled despite myself, “Oh sure.. ya.. I’m fine..”
He nodded, and turned back towards the sunset. I followed his gaze. The ocean was marred only by the small white-caps hitting the California coast.
“Gorgeous night!” he said, “I’m glad you asked me here.”
“Me too,” i said, giddy to giggles.
He leaned over and kissed me. Gooseflesh tickled my skin everywhere,and my cheeks went rosey; lost in his embrace.
Suddenly, a flatulent fricative came from Jason.
I was agast, “You didn’t just..?”
Jason was sheepish, “Uhm, pardon me,”

A little over the top??
Ya, I thought so, too. Ok.. I’m a system administrator, born and raised in Ottawa, Canada. Since the early 80’s, I’ve been writing anything from AD&D modules to short stories. I wrote my first novel in high-school. At the time, it was the shizna!! Now? Looking back at it, it was fun to write, but i was horrible. But that is how it all started.
Over the years, I run online writing guilds which concentrated on Play By Post RPG writing in a world that I created back in my D&D days, called Astelbania.
Now, I’m hoping to write a novel at NaNoWriMo 2008; hopefully pump out a good draft.
I’ve been bestowed the great honour of being part of the brother-and-sisterhood known as: The League of Awesome. Henceforth I shall bear the monicker: The Master of the +10 Guitar of Awesomeness!
