As Kristine explained to her mom everything that had been going on, she watched tear after tear roll down her cheeks. As she finished her story, her mother stood up. She remained silent for about five minutes before speaking. Her voice almost a whisper.
“Why didn’t you tell me?”
“I was afraid he would hurt me worse.” was her nearly silent reply.
“HE’S GONE !” her mom yelled. “I never want to see him again! You can break up with him at school tomorrow.”
“I will.” Kristine mumbled.
