I quickly pushed him off me and turned my head slowly, to face the light.
I’m not sure what—or who I expected.
But as I could see the car come toward us, it made a quick turn.

Had I been lucky? Or had the driver just seen everything they needed to see?
I thought to myself. Could it have been Lea? Could she have been the one in that car, had she seen us?
I wasn’t sure..

A feeling of betrayal and hurt swept over me. How could I have done this to her? Who have I become? And most importantly, ..was that her in the car?

My heart would not rest until I found out who was the driver of that car who had been so close to seeing me,..to seeing us...
