Interesting, I’ll have to go back and read the prequel(s?). Just one thing: “and the was thick with disappointment.” I think you are in need of another word.

It’s actually spelled palindrome, and only you could use that word in a ficlet and get away with it.
This fits in perfectly with the prequels and even gives the reader that happy ending, sunset and all. But something tells me the adventures of P.T. Agonist and friends aren’t over just yet… (Cue dramatic music.)

Comy Kraleef… a name fitting of a new character in this series… Sorry, got distracted for a second listening to the dramatic music Ana cued up.

This was written in a slightly more eloquent voice than the prequels, but I suppose you couldn’t help that. Still, it kept the tone alive, and the great name for the sidekick really pushed this over the edge.
