The prince held a ball, open to all princesses of the kingdom. After the ball, one tenth of the princesses of the kingdom, a really huge kingdom, fractioned in a thousands of smaller countries, would be allowed to stay at the castle, to get to know the prince more.

Everyone just knew the choice would be between Alina and Falina. The princess of Ivy Kingdom, Rose, just couldn’t allow.

Alina and Falina took a carriage, so they would be safely brought to the faraway castle of the prince. But they got ambushed, and dragged in a dark cave. There, a witch performed some dark rituals over them.

The princesses, awake, dragged themselves out, looking their reflection in a small pond.

“Help, I’m a monster!”, cried Alina, her face disfigured forever in a wrinkly, messy blob of warts, like her whole body.

Falina, still beautiful as ever, tried to confort her sister: but now her ethereal voice was replaced by a gibberish howl, the scary cry of a banshee…

    Oh my… I hope I can get in on this one. I would love to get in on a good Fairy Taling ….the way they were before Disney came along and prettied them up. Great idea for a “grimm” challenge. ;)

    I’ll be looking forward for your entry, if you can. You got the spirit of the competition quite right: fairy tales weren’t meant to be pretty and cheesy, and “Grimm” once meant “grim”, when even the happiest ending had its share of sufferings, mutilations and punishments

    I’d like to see this go in a sort of “Neil Gaiman” type of direction myself, including some classical mythical elements, along with a few modern twists. I can already see one in the way the ball is set up…

    ok i can feel a princely groteque three way maxx hardcore style, or maybe an alchemic transmutation. oh shoot i better not give away all the good ideas.
